MIX: 2½ cups cold water, Jambalaya Seasoned Rice Mix, protein of your choice (smoked sausage, cooked chicken, or shrimp) and 1 tbs. vegetable or olive oil (optional) in a 3qt. saucepan until well-blended.
COOK: Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer 30 minutes or until rice is tender. (If using cooked shrimp, add to mixture during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
REMOVE: Take pot off of heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
